GREAT CITY OF L.A. The people in Los Angeles are very gay-friendly. Most of the people that live in this state come from out-of-state, which are mostly immigrants from Mexico, Japan. Hollywood is one of the most classic and iconic districts in Los Angeles that hold the most history. This is the place where movies and television shows are made overnight.  The best thing of all is that this district is the home of the iconic Academy Awards ceremony. If you're looking for that calm and serene escape from the city, then I highly suggest you to check out the Harbor Area district. The Harbor Area is known for being one of the largest sea ports in the states, which is known to many Southern California residents as the Port of Long Beach. The downfall to living in this area is that if you're a tourist or if you are just looking to find a place that has a lot to do, then you won't find it in the Harbor district. What you will find are a couple of alternatives for entertainment. If you love to take a ride on a cruise, then you'll definitely enjoy taking a cruise ride across the port. There are also ferry rides that will take you to Catalina Island.
